India Lifecycle Management Customer Care (LCM) Technical bulletin provides the reason for Non play of contents and the procedure to reinstall the activation keys in 5800 Xpressmusic devices (RM-356).
Symptom:
'File Format not supported 'is displayed or the content do not play from the memory card.
Reason/s:
1. Customer does a 'hard reset' or a 'Factory reset' of the device.The activation keys in the UDA are erased.( Primary reason for the contents not playing back)
2. Keys are not transferred to the UDA (User defined access area) during the t" occasion of phone Power ON.
3. Activation Keys are transferred but are corrupt to activate the contents.
Procedure:
1. Connect 5800 device with PC (Cable CA-101) through the PC Suite.
2. Select and open 'Memory Card' and select the 'IMPORT' folder.
3. Open IMPORT Folder. (If activation keys are available, delete all).
4. Unzip the '5800 activation keys' file provided.
S. Copy 6k paste the 209 activation keys (.dr files) into the IMPORT folder.
6. 'Power Off Device, remove battery, reinstall battery and 'Power ON'.
7. On 'Power ON', the activation keys are transferred to the UDA and the contents are activated. (This is the reason for the IMPORT folder to be empty when accessing).
